Group Therapy

Creating a Community of Here and Now Awareness

Healing is scary.

It takes vulnerability and courage to take steps into the unfamiliar and putting faith into something that you don’t know will work. One of the things I love about group therapy is that you don’t have to do it alone. Group enables you to make changes and try out new ways of living by learning from each other.

How do I know if this Therapy Group is right for me?

  • Have you been diagnosed with an Eating Disorder?
  • Do you struggle with your relationship with food and your body?
  • Are you actively pursing recovery and have your own treatment?
  • Are you open to actively engage in conversations with others around topics pertaining your struggles and recovery?
  • Do you struggle with your body image?
  • Are you ready to connect with other and break from isolation?
  • Are you open to divesting from diet culture, food rules and weight ideals?
  • Are you looking for community and a supportive space to discuss issues around body and eating with others who have lived experience?

There are 2 important things
I want you to know:

Your relationships with food and your body do not have to be this way. You can heal these relationships with conscious effort. Can you imagine eating for pleasure, nourishment, and in alignment with your body’s needs? Rejecting a diet mentality and respecting your body? Practicing balance and flexibility in your eating?

You are not alone. And you can work on transforming your relationships with food and your body while supporting and being supported by others who can understand in a safe space. If these speak to you, you want to heal, break from isolation and connect to others in recovery and in community, then this group is for you!

Together we can help each other heal.

If you are on the fence about committing to this group, here’s the sign you were looking for: DO IT. Thank me later. This group changed my life, it has helped heal not only my relationship with food/body but with myself.

Sometimes you need support and you may find you can’t get it from your loved ones however well-intentioned they may be. This group provided a space for me to breathe away from diet culture. I was seen, heard, and understood. Thank you!
